ABSTRACT

This is a preliminary research to seek fundamental phenomenon of career maturity of students in high school. Using survey methods and involving 143 students from two public high schools in Bandung, Indonesia. Performed prior to coding of qualitative data is presented in percentages. Other data, that is shaped multiple choice directly displayed in the form of percentage. Several questions open-ended exerted on a participant that includes: the definition of career maturity, self- evaluation of career maturity, evaluation of Crites’s (1978) career maturity dimensions, and external factors that play a role in career maturity. The survey results indicate there are differences in career maturity constituent dimensions, the emergence of the issue of independence, and parents greatly affect the participants' career maturity.
