Abstract

Golden snail is one of the plant disturbing organisms in rice plants that can damage plants in a short time. This study aimed to determine the effect of the microencapsulation combined biopesticide from a mixture of kacang babi and lemon grass leaves extract against golden snail mortality in rice plants. The study used experimental methods with completely randomized design (CRD) and probit analysis using SPSS 21 which consisted of five treatments and three replications. The treatments used were presenting negative control, positive control, formulation I, II and III. Observations of snail mortality were carried out 24, 48, 72, 96, 120 dan 144 hours after application. The death of the mass snail by the secretion of mucus from the body surface until it is slowly released from its shell. Observation results 24 hours after application showed that the mortality of golden snails with the fastest initial time of death was derived from formulation I (24.49 hours), with an LC50 of 10.60 g/kg which was mildly toxic, 100% daily mortality was obtained from the formulation III (day’s 5) and the fastest efficacy in formulation III was 38.89% (day’s 2).
