Optimization Replacement Schedule of Chisels based on Quality Cost With Exponentially Increasing Failure Rate



Abstract


This study aims to create a replacement schedule optimization model chisel installed on a production machine. In 2014 researchers have developed a model replacement chisel by modifying the basic model developed by Jardine. There are two variables under consideration by Jardine namely the replacement cost of preventiv and failure replacement costs which usually is called as corrective replacement cost. Researchers added cost of quality with increased linearly product failure. That paper was presented at an international seminar ISIEM 2015. In this paper will be developed models chisel replacement schedule by considering three replacement cost is the cost of preventive, failure replacement cost and the cost of quality with increased exponentially product failure. The output of this model is to determine when to schedule the replacement shou ld be performed in order to obtain a minimal cost. The models will consist of two models namely individual replacement and group replacement models. The models will be validated empirically by observed data from PT. Wika, Majalengka Indonesia.
