ABSTRACT

In an era of globalization and economic uncertainty, the supply chain of the manufacturing industry faces a major challenge in maintaining efficiency and sustainability. The integration of local wisdom in supply chain adaptation strategies is an innovative approach that allows companies to adapt to market conditions, local culture, and environmental sustainability. This study aims to analyze adaptation strategies in the supply chain of the manufacturing industry based on local wisdom, using qualitative methods based on literature studies and library research. The results of the study show that the principles of local wisdom, such as mutual cooperation, resource sustainability, and community-based distribution systems, contribute significantly to increasing the flexibility and resilience of the manufacturing supply chain. Several industries in Southeast Asia have applied the principles of community-based production and local resource management to reduce dependence on imported raw
materials and increase resilience to global supply chain disruptions. In addition, adaptation strategies based on local wisdom have also been proven to strengthen social relationships between industry players and local communities, ultimately creating a more inclusive and sustainable supply chain. The implication of this study emphasizes that the application of adaptation strategies based on local wisdom in the manufacturing supply chain can increase industrial resilience, optimize operational efficiency, and strengthen competitiveness in the global market. Therefore, this study recommends the development
of policies that support the adoption of local wisdom in supply chain strategies, as well as the integration of digital technologies to improve the effectiveness of implementation in various sectors of the manufacturing industry.
